ഇന്ന് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി ഒരു അവധി ലഭിച്ചത് കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ പദ്മനാഭസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ എത്തി. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒന്ന് രണ്ട് മാസങ്ങളായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ തടിപ്പണികൾ നടന്നുവരികയാണ്. അതിനാൽ രാവിലെ 10 മണി കഴിഞ്ഞ് ദർശനം ഇല്ല. ശ്രീപദ്മനാഭസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പതിവ് കാഴ്ചയാണ് സുദർശന എന്ന പിടിയാന. പത്തു വയസ്സുള്ള അവൾക്ക് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ഓരോ മുക്കും മൂലയും പരിചിതവുമാണ്. അവൾ രാവിലെ പദ്മനാഭസ്വാമിയെ പ്രദക്ഷിണം വയ്ക്കുന്നത് പതിവ് ദിനചര്യയാണ്.  ഇന്ന് എനിക്ക് സുദർശനയോടൊപ്പം, ഭഗവാനെ പ്രദക്ഷിണം വയ്ക്കാൻ അവസരം കിട്ടി. അവളോടൊപ്പം ചേർന്ന് ആദ്യ വലത് ഞാൻ പൂർത്തിയാക്കി. ദർശനം ഇല്ല എങ്കിലും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുള്ളിൽ തരക്കേടില്ലാത്ത ഭക്തജന തിരക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. രണ്ടാം വലതിൽ,വടക്കേ ശിവേലിപ്പുരയിലൂടെ സുദർശന സഞ്ചരിക്കവെ, തടി അറുക്കുന്ന യന്ത്രത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ട് അവൾ ഭയന്നു. അവൾ വേഗത്തിൽ ഓടാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അവളുടെ ഓട്ടം കണ്ട് ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ ഭയചകിതരായി നാലുപാടും ചിതറി ഓടാൻ തുടങ്ങി. സുദർശന ആരെയും ഉപദ്രവിക്കാതെ ഊട്ടുപുര ഗണപതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ഗണപതി ഭഗവാന്റെ മുന്നിൽ കയറി സ്ഥാനം പിടിച്ചു. അവൾ നന്നേ ഭയന്നിരുന്നു. പാവം, ഓട്ടത്തിനിടയിൽ അവളുടെ മസ...
