Aranmula – A Day to Remember

Yesterday was truly an unforgettable day for me and my friends — a day filled with divine grace, cultural beauty, and heartfelt experiences. By the blessings of Lord Thiru Aranmula Parthasarathi, we(Myself, Lakshmanan Sir and Pradeep Sir)had the rare privilege to participate in the revered Aranmula Valla Sadya, one of Kerala’s most sacred and cherished traditions.

What made this occasion even more special was the opportunity to be part of the divine boat voyage — the palliyoda purappadu  — from Keezhukara Kadavu to the Aranmula Parthasarathi Temple Kadavu. Sitting in the beautifully adorned palliyodam, moving rhythmically along the river accompanied by the songs of devotion, was a surreal and soul-stirring experience.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Collins Abraham Sir and his parents, Thomas Sir and Stella Madam, for making this spiritual journey possible. Their warm hospitality, kind arrangements, and thoughtful guidance made this entire experience even more meaningful. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and affection.

Our journey extended beyond Aranmula, as we visited the Chengannur Mahadeva Temple, where Goddess Parvathi was in her Thriputharattu cycle. We were amazed to hear that the goddess has attained Thriputth for the sixth time this year, a rare and spiritually significant occurrence.

We also visited the ancient Narasimha Swamy Temple in Chengannur, believed to be over 1,000 years old, resonating with divine history and power. Another poignant moment was our visit to the memorial of former Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy, where we offered our prayers and paid our respects to a beloved leader.

Adding to the natural beauty of our journey, Thomas Sir took us to a serene lily flower field — a breathtaking sight that brought peace and joy to our hearts. The tranquility of that place was simply indescribable.

Before concluding our journey, we also offered prayers at the famous Panachikkadu Temple, known as the Dakshina Mookambika, a temple filled with spiritual energy and devotion.

This journey was not just a trip; it was a blessing, a spiritual awakening, and a memorable time with friends. We returned home with hearts full of gratitude, minds enriched with tradition, and souls touched by the divine.
